Review: 2020 Dodge Durango

Performance

Dodge’s performance-oriented Durango has three powertrains to choose from, each with an 8-speed automatic transmission that includes an electronic t-shifter for intuitive gear selection as well as steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The base engine is a 295-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 that can tow up to 6,200 pounds. Optional engines include a 360-hp 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 and an even more potent 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 that churns out 475-hp and 470 lb-ft of torque and has a best-in-class available towing capacity of 8,700 pounds. Brembo six-piston high-performance brakes, a Bilstein® active-damping high-performance suspension, customized driving modes including track, sport, auto, snow, and tow, and all-wheel drive are available.

Technology

A user-friendly Uconnect® infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth®, voice command, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, a 6-speaker sound system, and two USB ports are included. The upgraded Uconnect® 4C Nav system integrates with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, HD Radio™, SiriusXM® satellite radio, SiriusXM® Traffic™, a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 19 speakers, and a Wi-Fi hotspot are optional. A rear-seat entertainment system with a 9.0-inch high-definition dual-screen and Blu-ray™ capability is also available.

Features

Keyless Enter ‘n Go, a fold-flat front passenger seat, 60/40 split-folding second-row reclining bench seat, and 43.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row come standard. Available are a leather-trimmed interior, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, fold and tumble second-row captain's chairs, and three-zone automatic temperature control. Additionally, a Stow ‘n Place® roof rack system with stowable crossbars and a power rear liftgate are available.
